New Year's Resolution Writing and a SURPRISE! - Simply Skilled in Second

New Year's Resolution Writing and a SURPRISE!

Hi Friends.... Happy New Year!!!

I am sure that many of you are still enjoying your holiday break...well...NOT ME!  We went back today...BUT...we are getting a snowstorm tonight that should dump around 6-12 inches of snow through tomorrow so that means we will have a SNOW DAY!!!  Can I get a Woot Woot!!!!

I was excited to get my little ones back into some type of routine today and get them writing!  I showed them a You Tube video of a girl reading the story Squirrel's New Year's Resolution because I didn't have the book and it wasn't in my school library.  But I just ordered it from Amazon so I will have it for next year! Click the image below to head on over to the You Tube video or click the book link below to purchase it from Amazon.  It is really an adorable book!

After we listened to the story, we brainstormed a list of new year's resolutions and talked about them.  Then I showed them our new Happy 2014 Flip Flap Book...as usual they were excited as can be!  Now that we have completed a bunch of different flip flap books this year, I don't even have to go over the directions anymore!  It is just easy peasy lemon squeezy!

Here are some images of my students completing their New Year's Resolution Flip Flap Book.

Here are some images of the final product when they finished!  They look SOOOO cute on the bulletin board!

Here they are on the bulletin board!

If you are interested in checking this out for your classroom, head on over to my TPT Shop to pick it up.  It is ONLY $3.00 and I will UPDATE the file EVERY year with the new year so you only have to purchase it ONCE :)

Ok....so here is the surprise... Comment below with what state you teach in and your e-mail addy and I will pick 2 winners to win my Happy 2014 Flip Flap Book!!!  Yippppeeee!

Ready...and...GO!

 Hugs,
